Maple Flooring
DESCRIPTION
As a distributor or MFMA solid unfinished maple flooring, our customers can rest assured that our supply is sourced from responsibly managed forest in the U.S. and manufactured to produce some of the finest northern hard maple on the market today. Maple is harder than oak and is less prone to denting, very durable, widely available and can suit most budgets.
Maple is available in the following grades:
1st Grade
2nd & Better
3rd Grade
Maple has a creamy blonde tone and a delicate grain, but has a 1450 rating on the Janka Scale which is harder than both red and white oak. Depending upon the grade, maple can be very clean with no knots or it contain heavy character with knots and a variety of color tones. Appearance alone will determine the grade and does not affect the the strength of the board.
